Give Your Candle a Second Life — and Get Rewarded
Did you know most candle containers end up in landfills if they aren’t completely cleaned of wax and wicks — even if you toss them into the recycling bin? Recycling centers can’t process jars with leftover wax, so they get discarded.
We’re here to change that.
With our Refill & Reuse Program, you can keep your jars out of landfills, enjoy your favorite scents again, and earn a little something back in the process.
How It Works
1. Return Your Jars
Send back any candle container you purchased from us — lids included.
For every jar we can safely repurpose, you’ll receive:
- $1 credit for standard glass
- $2 credit for specialty glass (like the Teal Collection)
No need to clean them. We handle all the emptying, cleaning, and sanitizing.
2. Local Drop-Off (Lewes, DE)
If you’re local, we’re happy to arrange a meet-up within roughly 20 minutes of Lewes for returns or refills.
3. Refill Your Favorite Container
Have a container you love — even if it didn’t come from us?
We can refill it with your choice from our many fragrance options.
Before shipping your own container, please contact us first so we can confirm pricing and feasibility based on the jar’s size and material.

Simply contact us, and we’ll provide shipping details.
Who Pays for Shipping?
Customers are responsible for shipping costs both ways.
Minimums
There’s no required minimum number of jars — ship as many or as few as you’d like.
Credits can be combined if you return multiple jars.
If your return includes specialty pieces like the Teal Collection, the $2 credit applies.
Credits will be issued as a unique one-time-use discount code that expires in 3 months.
Refill processing typically takes up to 2 business weeks once your container arrives.
What We Accept
All sizes and containers purchased from Enlightened Coast qualify.
What’s Not Eligible
We cannot accept containers that are: cracked, broken, dented, charred, or structurally damaged in any way.
If the container can’t be safely reused or refilled, we’ll let you know.
